Follow Charles Rennie Mackintosh as he encounters people, objects and experiences that shape his distinct design style. This side-scroller narrative driven game is set against the backdrop of 19th and 20th Century Glasgow, encompassing Glasgow's industrial boom, the opening up of Glasgow to the world, and the temperance movement, when alcohol was prohibited and cups of tea replaced pints of beer.

This game was inspired by the beautifully restored Mackintosh Oak Room, on display in the V&A Dundee's Scottish Design Galleries.

Return of the Mack(intosh) was created at the Operas and Bridges game jam, hosted by the V&A Dundee in collaboration with Weave at Abertay University.

Our provocation was to take inspiration from the V&A Dundee building or collections.

The game was developed in GameMaker 2 over two days by Clare Brennan (Concept Art and Design, Story) and Robin Sloan (Development)
